The fig is an edible fruit of Ficus carica. It has been around since ancient times and is now very popular and widely grown throughout the world. 

The nutritious fruit is known to control blood pressure, aid digestion, helps with weight loss, protect your heart, prevents constipation, cures reproductive problems and may also support strong joints. 

Figs are grown in warm, sheltered spot in full sun. Keep pit-grown plants well-watered. Once fruits start appearing, feed weekly with tomato food. All fruit trees use organic fertilisers.
