Peppermint

Peppermint is commonly grown in Singapore among passionate gardeners. Peppermint has got darker green leaves that contain much more menthol than Spearmint. It's icy cool taste is good for herbal teas. Peppermint is a great choice for novice gardeners for it's vigorous growth.

Peppermints can be grown both outdoors and indoors. They are easy to propagate via stem cutting which means you can have a new plant from an existing plant using its stems.

Peppermint plants need to plant in well-drained soil. Avoid planting it in pure compost as it tends to stay wet too long. If you plant it outdoors, you may need to water once daily.

It grows well when exposed to 4 to 6 hours of bright, filtered light which means slightly shaded from the sun.
